Twice Now.

So I have a lot of reoccurring dreams, I've been getting them since the fifth grade (I'm in 12th now) and what's really strange is my dream-self remembers every single detail of the last time I dreamed it. It knows where's safe to hide, who I need to talk to and what I need to ask, where I need to go and what I should and shouldn't see.

Some have plots that remain the same, some my dream-self is able to change, some are the same area (my dream library or my dream friend's house, are two examples of places I often visit) but I have no plot to my dream, I'm just wandering about contently.

Does anyone have strange reoccurring dreams? Ones you think mean something? Ones you don't think mean anything?

These are the closest things to lucid dreams I ever have. Where my dream self knows the entirety of what is going to happen and does it. It makes to effort to change it, just goes with the flow. Sometimes my dream-self will question some part of my dream (ie: "Wait, wasn't that dog a fish a moment ago" is my favorite) but never  pries deep enough to realize it's a dream. Or else, dreaming, I don't care enough. But in real life I'd love to lucid dream. Why won't my dream-self push it? Why can't I make myself realize it?

Ringo: Shenanigans!

Normal? Trying to tell me something?

Every once and awhile, I get theses really, really vivid, lucid dreams. Like, so real, I know what things smell like, in the dreams. I hear voices. I recognize people's faces, regardless if I know them or not. I taste things. And then, I wake up talking out loud, as if I was carrying on a conversation with a person. And scariest part is, the sentences make sense. The other day, I literally woke up to the lines of, "Jimmy, stop it, the heroin will kill you!"

I thought, for awhile, that I just dreamed that I said that. But then, I spent a night at my friend's house, and she and two other girls, woke me up scared shitless, because I was telling them, in a completely placid tone, that if they touched my guitar, I would kill them. Which is weird, because I don't own a guitar. They also told me that I started singing, "A Day In The Life" next to perfectly in my sleep.

My mother told me that I might have a severe condition of Sleep Apnea, and due to lack of nighttime oxygen, my brain starts to vividly hallucinate. Maybe, but I doubt it. She also suggested that I have a digestive problem, and the food I sometimes eat before bed causes me to have vivid dreams. But I was kinda like, "MOM, STFU." because she teaches band, and isn't even anything medical.

But what do you guys think?

Has this happened to you before?

Could I be channeling John Lennon/George Harrison?
I hope so. :3

This is my first time posting on this community. I've been wanting to share this story about my creepy dreams that I've been having for years now. I thought this would be a great place to post it.

In 2005 after a friend (Adam) was killed in Iraq I started having weird dreams. At first the dreams would be like I would go to the hill that he is buried at, but all the graves were gone. I could hear him whispering to me like he was trying to tell me something important and I would wake up. Over the years the dream changed where actually did find out where he was buried, but of course whenever he would go to tell me what he was wanting tell me I would wake up. Back in March I had a family member (Bubby) who drowned after his rescue boat capsized. He was buried very close to Adam. Right after that I had my reoccurring dream, but the only thing different is that Bubby is trying to tell me something as well. I've always wondered why I had this dream and maybe it meant something.
Has anyone else ever had any weird dreams like this before?

sleep paralysis/ scary dreams/ ghost sightings

okay so im a newb to this community but ive been lurking for a while now. ive had a long string of experiences dating back to when i was young and i figured where would be better to get some possible insight into the occurances than here.

the first of these happened when i was about ten or eleven. me and by brother shared a room with bunk beds and a tv at the foot of them. i had just fallen asleep after we were watching late night tv for a while (spawn cartoon i think) and we went to bed. every night one of us who couldnt sleep would ask the other loudly if they were sleeping just for comfort i think. anyways, i fell asleep and around 2am i woke up and in a very out of body experience i woke my brother up screaming. i was convinced there was something in the far corner of our room. it was a round blob with a surface that looked like tv static, and it was growing and if it touched us we would die. i stood there screaming and pointing at the ccorner and babbling shit that my brother couldnt understand, but seeing me so scared made him scared too until eventually i just went back to sleep. it was odd but i thought nothing of it. in fact i forgot it until the next occurance.

i was sick with the flu and about thirteen or fourteen and sleeping in the room next to the aformentioned one. i could hear the furnace making strange noises and it was keeping me up. when i finally fell into rem sleep i shot straight up and in my vision i could see a number counter at the top of my veiw. it started counting down from 1 million and was moving very very fast and for some reason i knew that when it got to 0 i would die. i ran upstairs and paced around the entire upstairs considering weather or not i should wake my parents up about this. time was moving very fast and apparantly my parents saw me when i was up and i was moving and having mannerisms that looked as if i was in fast forward. the only thing i could do to calm myself down was stare at a large clock in our living room to ensure myself time was passing normally and eventually the counter disappeared shortly before reaching 0. a year later something else happened.

after a long night of movies and chips and cake and pop me and my best friend finally went to bed on his birthday. i was probably 14 and he was 15. he had gotten an orange gamecube controller for his birthday and we had been playing video games all night. i suddenly got up from the floor of his room and demanded that he smash it. he had no idea what i was talking about but i was screaming "fucking smash the remote you fucking idiot were going to die!" now what happened next still terrifies me. i had been babbling about how aliens made the remote as a trap to kill us, and i was going to lock myself in the bathroom so they couldnt get me. to get to the bathroom from his room you walk straight forward through the door and to the right there is a large laundry area and a door to the backyard. when i walked to the bathroom i glanced at the door outside and through the window i saw the head of an alien staring at me and i ran to the bathroom. i sat on the toiled and cried and calmed down and went back to bed and to sleep without saying anything. nothing else happened to me until i was 20

i was laying in bed sick (again)and trying to sleep. it was mid day and the lights were on in the basement and i was now in the room where the first story took place. my bed was in a corner and when i layed i was facing the door. now what i thought happened was my mom came in to check on me and ask me for laundry, i was in sleep paralysis so i could only lay there with my eyes open and say nothing. no one else was home and "she" left my room. shortly after that i shut my eyes and when i opened them i saw a large black figure standing at the edge of my bed wearing a trench coat. i tried to focus my eyes to make it disappear but i couldnt so i shut my eyes and told myself it wasnt real. when i opened my eyes it was gone and so was the sleep paralysis. i sat up and looked down and in my lap was an oversized, bright green, decapitated black teenage womans head. i flipped out and threw my sheets across the room and it disappeared.

now, this last one was the most intense and realistic one that has happened yet. i just moved to vancouver island to live with some friends in a really old house. i was hungover and sort of sick mid day so i decided to go lay in bed. my roommates who were a couple were making dinner in the kitchen that was next to my room. since the house was old and built improperly it was cold all the time and all the rooms had electric space heaters, but whenever you ran the microwave it tripped the breaker and shut all the lights and outlets in the house off. then someone would have to go outside to get into the basement and switch the breaker and come back in. i was laying in bed listening to them talk and i cognitively heard the breaker trip twice and get reset. then i fell asleep. in my dream i walked out and had a lengthy conversation as per usual with one of my roommates. all of a sudden the breaker tripped and it was pitch black and everyone stopped talking. i called out to my roommates but all they would do was scuttle around and grunt and make strange noises. then the lights came back on and everything was normal. so in my dream once again i went a layed in my bed and their dog came in an layed with me and i was petting it. then the lights went off and all of a sudden the dog started biting me and its fur turned into a tar like substance and stuck to me. the lights came back on, the dog stopped biting me and its fur went back to normal. i then in my dream got up and walked into the living room and talked to them again as if nothing had happened. the breaker tripped once more and they both started strangling me and the dog was biting me again and after a while i woke up and locked myself in my room for two days.

nothing has happened to me recently but i had a friend give me some advice about it, she thinks im being followed by a deamon. when it happens i get the same strange out of body sensation every time and even though i am cognitive i generally cant control myself. they have gotten considerably more intense and realistic as time goes on and i was told i should try and do something to get rid of whatever is following me. any advice?

Ever dream this man?

The shadow man dream post reminded me of this.....

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams. In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.

That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams. He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.

The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams. Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams. All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.

From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moskow etc.

Wierd Dream

Okay, I have no idea what this means, i am just thoroughly creeped out and well this is where you guys come in!

Last night I had a dream about a murder. In my dream it was happening to me, except I was not me as I know me in it. I was older and living in a quiet little town. I was in bed and all my family was asleep when someone broke in. I was beaten beyond recognition and blacked out due to what I felt was a head injury. I proceeded to watch what happened to the rest of my family while some deep male voice narrated it (kind of like a cheesy Dateline NBC episode). When I woke up I rolled over to my boyfriend and told him "Remember the date Aug 18, 1882" and told him what happened.

When I got home from class I googled the date. and proceeded to shit bricks.

I have NEVER heard of this murder case before.
I do NOT have a tv in my room that could influence my dream in any way.
lastly, WTF.

Reoccurring nightmares?

I had this nightmare last night, where I was in a house with a few... cousins or friends, something like that. Two of the people were twins, with long dark hair.

So my question to you guys is, has anyone else had reoccurring nightmares as well? Do you guys think it means anything?

Maybe it was my previous post that brought on the dream. Sorry I insulted your weave, gurl.

I've had other reoccurring nightmares, but I just dreamt this one last night & since it was still fresh in my mind, decided to write it down.

Share your nightmares here! Let's all be scared together.
TBBT: hell is real oh fffffuuu

Have you seen "this man"?

According to http://www.thisman.org/ there have been multiple sightings of this man (he has become known simply as "This Man", due to a lack of a better name I suppose) in people's dreams since 2006.

I'm not sure if this is a hoax or not but, damn, it is creepy. To think so many people may have dreamt the same thing is more than a little unnerving.

So, have you seen ... this man? Collapse )
